Project Summary
Midland Elementary School is a replacement campus for a school originally built in 1924. Poway Unified School District opted for replacement over modernization to meet seismic, data, electrical and Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. The new campus was designed with a focus on community involvement and student safety. Multi-story buildings were designed for outdoor circulation on the courtyard side of the campus for student security while reducing vehicular noise from adjacent streets.
